AcccuGrid is a sealed localizing grid system for the safe imaging, transporting, and processing surgical breast specimens. The AccuGrid specimen localizing grid system is designed to help you:
Protect staff from potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens
The safety-sealed biohazard bag helps prevent fluids from leaking during transport from surgery to imaging and then on to pathology. Easy visibility of the surgical specimen ensures that there is no need to open the container for imaging purposes.
Maintain specimen orientation and tissue integrity
For more accurate correlation of specimen to radiograph in pathology, the AccuGrid system’s grid surface has a special coating that helps prevent the specimen from moving after imaging. Light controlled compression during imaging activates this coating without damaging or distorting the specimen tissue.
Communicate lesion localization without obscuring
Because the specimen lies on top of the grid surface, correlating lesion location to the radiograph in pathology is easy. Two sets of radiolucent alpha-numeric coordinates provide clear and precise localization of the area of interest.
